Process
Planning wedding florals is an exciting and fun part of the planning process! We will be your guide every step of the way.

STEP 1: CONSULTATION
After we receive your general inquiry, a second more detailed floral form is sent. This second form helps us learn more about your event and vision and prepares us for your complimentary 60-minute consultation.
Our consultation is a great time to meet each other, and go over your vision, event needs, and budget. We will also brainstorm ideas and cover any questions you may have.
The form, and consultation, paired with my expertise will help to identify your unique Kahihae style and how it will be reflected at your event and create the structure for your quote.
STEP 2: DESIGN PROPOSAL
Our design process incorporates the inspirational photos and ideas gathered, which start as the base foundation for our design. From there is where I become a Flor-ist: a floral scientist! I choose flowers that best represent your wedding theme while taking into consideration- the seasons of availability, wholesalers, the scope of work, the time in which the wedding takes place, the natural elements, plants that do well in those elements, how each arrangement will be used, prepped, stored, created, transported, unloaded, set-up/installation, transfer, removal of flowers, and the budget. Then a floral quote is produced.
STEP 3: REVISE
Because we invest several hours into this process, we require a $300 design fee to move forward with revisions. This fee is credited towards the final balance should you decide to move forward with booking us. Please note: Wedding dates are reserved on a first come, first served, basis regardless if a quote was produced.
STEP 4: BOOK
Once you are pleased with the overall design concept a non-refundable retainer is due reserve your event date and Kahihae as your florist. Florals and materials are tentatively ordered at this time.
STEP: 5 FINALIZE
Six weeks prior to your event, we make our final last-minute adjustments if any (ex: Guest count got bigger so can we add 2 more table arrangements..). Once everything is pa’a- the final payment is due, and all florals and materials are ordered at this time.
STEP 6: EVENT DAY
For weddings, we will deliver the flowers to the wedding party first. Then we head over to the venue and decorate! Once all of the contracted arrangements are installed, we like to play with any leftover flowers or greenery and place them in areas that might benefit.
FLOWER DONATION
If you need breakdown services and want to donate your flowers at the end of the night, we offer flower donations to single moms and kupuna, and can incorporate this service into your quote.
